Creative Brief - poster and local newspaper

When analysing the posters in the boardroom with the media class, we decided to design a creative brief with help from one of the members of The Engine Group to help us establish what it is we want to get out of this poster and what we want it to achieve; mine being a poster advertising a local newspaper for teenagers and persuading them to read it.

Here is the creative brief for both the poster and the local newspaper because I found that they are both achieving the same thing in terms of target market.

The creative brief was useful to me as it gave me a clear idea on what my aim is. It also helped me extinguish my USP which is the local newspaper for teenagers and has helped me to create a function of what exactly I would like the newspaper to do for my audience.

When creating my poster and newspaper, I will keep in mind the creative brief, as it will help me structure the content of the newspaper and also the media language on the poster to attract the right audience.
