Newspaper frontpage sketch

After drafting the poster for my local newspaper, I decided to sketch a draft of the layout of my newspaper, bearing in mind some conventions of existing newspapers which were mostly tabloids. I decided to focus on the layout of tabloids as teenagers prefer this type of newspaper as opposed to broadsheets and local newspapers, so I felt that if I create a layout of my local newspaper similar to a tabloid, it will more than likely appeal to teenagers.



 

 

This first layout allows the reader to see clearly the main story with just a few other contents around it. This layout was inspired from looking at other broadsheets and a few tabloids.

 

 

 

 





This second layout is more busy and has alot going around the main story, it is also more visual than the first sketch which makes the newspaper page seem more interesting. This layout is insire from tabloids and magazines as it has more pictures.
