2nd page newspaper research

As part of my task is to create a second page of my local newspaper, I decided to take pictures of newspapers that I have collected as research into their front page and their second pages to give me an idea of what to include on my 2nd page.

Looking at the local newspaper for Lewisham, I realised that the story on the main page was different to the inside page. The inside page included an advert and different, short stories in the news.

 

 

 

 

 

I also looked at a tabloid to see if their main story on the front of the newspaper continued on the inside page. The inside page included the weather, advertisements and different news stories.

I also looked at another local newspaper which was from Greenwich and saw that the inside newspaper is not a continued story of the front page. The newspaper included advertisements and an opportunity for the audience to write to the newspaper.



When creating the inside of my newspaper, I will need to consider whether I would like to break the conventions of newspapers and continue the main story on the inside page or not.
