Taking into consideration the feedback that I had received about my radio advert draft, I decided to change the advert and include a drama piece so that it will be more entertaining for my audience.
Script
Teenagers gossiping and talking about party
Message ringtone of phone rings and talking stops
Teenager 1: Acknowledges that 'Sydenham Youth' is texting her. She reads the message in a confused tone.
Teenager 1, 2 and 3: All teenagers get excited as the features of newspaper is listed by Teenager 1
Teenager 1, 2 and 3: Find out that the newspaper is free and they are excited.
Jingle in the background
Teenager 1, 2 and 3: Sydenham youth, The newspaper aimed to communicate, educate and inform the youth! Out in all shops in Sydenham now.
I decided to change the script of the newspaper and make and just create guidelines for the actors to follow, as some of the feedback of the radio advert draft said that it seemed like it was scripted. So I decided to create a guideline and let the actors read from the previous script showing the features of the newspaper, allowing them to pick features that interest them so that they can be naturally excited, making it realistic and making the target audience laugh without trying to.
