We have all been waiting for over a year and it is finally here! The brand new youth club in Sydenham opposite Wells park is now open. Welcoming teenagers between 13-18, the centre is sure to meet the needs of everyone.
The numerous facilities, resources and activities on your doorstep -at-your-fingertips, even. You can enjoy the football and basketball court, and gym, as well as occasional events including youth talks about tackling youth issues. If relaxation is more your style, then by all means take advantage of yoga and aerobics workouts. The best part about all of this is...it is free! Yes FREE!
The new housing and facilities add to the evolvement of the new Sydenham, making it interesting for the youth and bringing life and vibrancy back into our area! A local Sydenham survey states that over 85% of teenagers felt isolated in the Sydenham community and did not see Sydenham as a convenient area for the youth. This could be down to the lack of facilities and events involving teenagers, meaning that they would have to travel outside...Continue on Page 5.
Using photoshop I was able to open the layout of my newspaper and figure out exactly the amount of text that will be included on the front page. Looking at existing tabloid newspapers, they don't not always finish the main story on the front page as it always continues on another page inside the newspaper. My original main story had more and was finished, but I decided to not to include all of the text so that it will not appear squashed. I also feel that by including the "continue on page 5" creates a marketing technique as the target audience that are interested in the main story will want to get the local newspaper in order to read the full story.
